How Often Should You Do Pilates to See Results?
One of the most common questions we get from new members is, “How many Pilates classes should I be doing each week to see results?” And the honest answer is: it depends on your lifestyle, goals, and what you can realistically stick to.
The good news? You don’t need to train every day to feel a difference.
For most people, starting with 2–3 Pilates or strength sessions per week is enough to build strength, improve posture, and feel more energised. Even one class a week can make a noticeable difference if you stay consistent, especially if you’re returning to exercise or balancing a busy schedule.
Pilates works differently from high-impact workouts. Instead of leaving you exhausted, sessions focus on controlled movement, deep core strength and mobility. That means you can train regularly without feeling run down or constantly sore.
Consistency matters more than intensity. Three weeks of training every day followed by burnout helps less than showing up twice a week for six months. The goal is to build a routine that fits into real life — work, family, travel and everything else that pops up.
That’s also why flexibility helps. Some weeks you make it into the studio, other weeks you might jump into an online class at home when time is tight. Movement doesn’t have to be perfect to count. A quick session still adds up over time.
Members often tell us they first notice better posture and core strength, then improved energy and less back or neck tension. After a couple of months, strength and muscle tone start to build, and classes feel more familiar and enjoyable.
A simple starting point looks like:
• 2 studio classes per week, or
• 1 studio class + 1 online session, or
• adding short mobility or stretch sessions on busy weeks
And remember, recovery matters too. Adding time in the sauna or allowing rest days helps your body rebuild so you can keep progressing.
At Soul Athletic, our goal isn’t just to help you work out harder, it’s to help you build a routine you actually enjoy and can maintain long term. Because the best results don’t come from doing the most classes in one week… they come from showing up regularly over time.
And once movement becomes part of your lifestyle, the results tend to follow naturally.
